2026 Face Time with the Pros

Journalists in the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC region share inside tips to help students and young professionals land that first/next job. Face Time with the Pros is an all day, collection of seminars designed to help students learn how to be better storytellers, perform on camera, and find out what hiring managers are really looking for. Register now!
All students will rotate through a series of sessions that include:
Getting that first job
Video Storytelling
Going Live
Producing
AI in the Newsroom
Each student will have the option to choose one alternating session. The options are:
Documentary/Long-form
Radio & Podcasting
The day will conclude with our Silver Circle Panel where folks who have been in the industry for at least 25 years share their years of wisdom.
There will be lots of opportunities—along with sign-ups—for one-on-one sessions with the pros who can review resumes, resume reels and provide job interview tips.
Saw the icon, figured it would last ten minutes, then Pixel Flow Game turned into the game I kept checking when I had any dead time. The board is made of colored voxel blocks stacked in layers, and pigs roll in on a conveyor to clear matching colors. Once I realized the real danger was filling the waiting row with half-used pigs, the whole thing got way more interesting.
