The 2017 honorees joined an impressive group of industry professionals who have helped shape the broadcast industry and continue to influence its future. These leaders have inspired excellence and innovation in every communications discipline. Devoting a quarter-century or more to the broadcast industry, these remarkable media professionals have made significant contributions to the National Capital Chesapeake Bay community. For the first time in the Chapter’s history, the Gold & Silver Circle honorees were joined by students throughout the region who had been selected to receive the award for Outstanding Achievement in Student Production. By honoring excellence in student production at a university, high school or technical/vocational school in the NCCB region, the Gold & Silver Circle Ceremony will celebrate legends in the broadcast industry with a future generation of young adults eager to begin their careers in television news.
